Marika Scicluna, Physiotherapist/Director

Marika Scicluna, Director and Founder of Body Mind Wellness Physiocare, completed her Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy in 1997 and has since practiced in a variety of private practice settings, in Australia and abroad. Marika Scicluna is passionate about enhancing each client’s quality of life by correcting their movement dysfunctions and empowering them to manage their own conditions using her skills and experience in Pilates Rehabilitation, Manual Techniques, Musculoskeletal, Sports and Acupuncture Physiotherapy. Marika also has special interests in Women’s health, including pre/postnatal care. Marika has diverse experience having worked with people from different age groups, cultural backgrounds and athletes of different levels. She has been the physiotherapist at a number of Australian Association of Tennis Players (AATP) Men's and Women's Satellite Tournaments in South Australia and has worked with the Garville Netball Club as the Club Physiotherapist from 2006-2009. She has also participated as a State and National Judge for the South Australian Body Building Association

With over 20 years of clinical experience, Marika's practice follows the philosophy that therapy is most successful when people are treated as whole human beings, not as individual parts, and her work is focused on finding and treating the root causes.

Career

Physiotherapist in Private Practice for over 20 years both locally and abroad.  Self-employed and Director of a Physiotherapy Practice for 18 years.

Professional Achievements
She has been the physiotherapist at a number of Australian Association of Tennis Players (AATP) Men's and Women's Satellite Tournaments in South Australia and has worked with the Garville Netball Club as the Club Physiotherapist from 2006-2009. She has also participated as a State and National Judge for the South Australian Body Building Association.  Marika was also the physiotherapist for the Lifecycle Malta, a group of 20 Maltese cyclists who cycled from Paris to Madrid in 10 days in 2004.  Recently she had estabilished Rehabcorp Physiotherapy and been in partnership for nearly ten years but recently in 2017 she branched off into her own solo practice, Body Mind Wellness Physiocare.
