Marika Scicluna, Physiotherapist/Director
Marika Scicluna is the Founder and Director of Body Mind Wellness Physiocare, bringing nearly three decades of clinical expertise to her practice. Since graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) in 1997, Marika has worked extensively across private practice settings in Australia and internationally, building a reputation for clinical excellence, precision, and compassionate care.
Marika is deeply committed to improving quality of life through the identification and correction of movement dysfunction. Her treatment approach integrates advanced Manual Therapy techniques—including joint mobilisation, trigger point therapy, muscle energy techniques, fascial counterstrain and craniosacral therapy—alongside Pilates-based rehabilitation, musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy, and acupuncture. Her philosophy centres on not only resolving pain, but empowering clients with the knowledge and strategies to confidently self-manage their condition long term.
She has particular expertise in Women’s Health, with a special interest in supporting women through pre- and post-natal stages, as well as the menopausal transition.
Marika’s diverse clinical experience spans all age groups and cultural backgrounds, from adolescents to older adults and from recreational movers to competitive athletes. She has provided physiotherapy services at multiple Australian Association of Tennis Players (AATP) Men’s and Women’s Satellite Tournaments in South Australia, served as Club Physiotherapist for the Garville Netball Club (2006–2009), and contributed to the South Australian Body Building Association as both a State and National Judge.
Her approach combines experience, evidence-based practice, and genuine care—ensuring every client receives personalised, results-driven treatment.
With nearly 30 years of clinical experience, Marika's practice follows the philosophy that therapy is most successful when people are treated as whole human beings, not as individual parts, and her work is focused on finding and treating the root causes.

Physiotherapist in Private Practice for over 20 years both locally and abroad. Self-employed and Director of a Physiotherapy Practice for 18 years.
Professional Achievements
She has been the physiotherapist at a number of Australian Association of Tennis Players (AATP) Men's and Women's Satellite Tournaments in South Australia and has worked with the Garville Netball Club as the Club Physiotherapist from 2006-2009. She has also participated as a State and National Judge for the South Australian Body Building Association. Marika was also the physiotherapist for the Lifecycle Malta, a group of 20 Maltese cyclists who cycled from Paris to Madrid in 10 days in 2004. Recently she had estabilished Rehabcorp Physiotherapy and been in partnership for nearly ten years but recently in 2017 she branched off into her own solo practice, Body Mind Wellness Physiocare.
